Daily Lesson Plans (2 books available)….You will find detailed, daily lesson plans that are extremely thorough and user-friendly. These lesson plans have been created to capture every teachable moment within your class time. The instructional goals and expected outcomes of this curriculum parallel the National Content Standards for Physical Education published by the National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE). Mosston’s “Spectrum of Teaching Styles” are utilized to move lessons from a teacher-centered to a student-centered format. Howard Gardner’s “Multiple Intelligences” are also incorporated in the daily lessons so a variety of learning styles are identified and utilized to engage more students. At the start of each week of lesson plans, special modification suggestions are provided to assist you to work more effectively with special needs students. You can easily substitute activities throughout the lesson plans to fit the needs of your students and/or fit with your school’s equipment and/or teaching space. Instructional Tips (Its) are included in every lesson to provide you with extra instructional strategies and management tips that will make for successful and fun lessons. In addition, authentic assessment worksheets and suggestions are also provided throughout the lessons.

Lesson Plan Book, Weeks 1-9 (Red Book)…..LESSON TOPICS include Respect/Responsibility, Fitness Assessment/Goal Setting, Body Composition, Aerobic Endurance, Muscular Endurance / Strength, Flexibility/Stress Management, Nutrition, Substance Abuse Issues, and Mid or Post Fitness Assessment. Basketball, soccer, and volleyball skills are emphasized as well as a variety of traditional fitness activities during this unit. This is an excellent resource for Upper Elementary through Middle and High School.

LESSON TOPICS include Self Esteem / Motivation, Principles of Fitness, Risk Factors / Eating Disorders, Healthy Posture, Injury Prevention & Care, Weather & Apparel, Consumer Issues, Fitness Assessment, and Leadership. Football, softball, racquet sports, and Frisbee skills are emphasized during this unit as well as a variety of traditional fitness activities. Age-appropriate for Middle through High School.
